Here's Rick Chin's beautifully weathered Accurate Miniatures 1/48 Stormovik. In Ricks own words he had this to say.... "It was built out of the box and the kit was very good to work and finish as long as you follow the steps. I painted the upper with green, (any green will do as it will be covered,) and the lower with pale blue. The upper was over sprayed sparsely with Testor white after the decals were in place. I put on a Pollyscale dull coat. I then use a tiny 20/00 brush and 'dipped' most of the lines and control surfaces with thinned down Testor black/rust/thinner enamel mix and let them run to highlight some of the lines. Dull coat again to hide some 'gloss' created by the 'wash'. The model took a few days and the paint job 2." As you can see...Rick is a very experienced modeller. Rick also keeps very busy running his Hobby shop Uncle Bills Hobby as well as being a very active member in the Calgary modeling club. He is a good honest guy and the "3 Steves" have had very positive experiences when we have purchased items from him....good service and reasonable prices.
