Here are some pics of my Douglas
Invader A-26B cannon nose ! The scale is 1/48, and the kit is the Promodeler
one. Well, I didn't have troubles during the building process,
different points were improved:
-
-first, I rescribed all the kit, long work which requires patience !
-
-second, I added lines on the engine
bay.
-
-third,I added lines in the bomb
bay, but it's pretty difficult to see
the job after !
-
-fourth, the cockpit is improved by
using some pieces of the Eduard
photoetched sheet, but lots of parts were scratchbuild, as the glass in
the front of the pilot (also difficult to see !)
-
- fifth; I opened the door of the
gunner, door is made with foil,
interior is improved.

The paint job is a mix of: first
using spray can of Tamiya; metal color, then several drybrush runs with Humbrol
Metacote. The décals are from the box and are nice to place. Some
weathering ended the job.

This bird looks really nice, it took
some big space on my shelves but it's great!
The bird depicts a plane of the 552nd Bomber Sqn, based during April 1945
in St Trong (Belgium).
