About the F-15E
Previous models of the F-15 are assigned air-to-air roles; the "E" model is a dual-role fighter. It has the capability to fight its way to a target over long ranges, destroy enemy ground positions and fight it’s way back out if necessary.

The model
This is the Revell 1/48 F-15E. The kit is really good it is detailed and accurate, the cockpit is well detailed and I didn’t think that its need any aftermarket goodies.

I scratchbuild the whole Radom the left panel and the inside of it, for my guide I used good reference pictures (if you want the picture contact me and I will e-maul it to you). When I decided on scratch building the panels the detailing set from verlinden wasn’t out yet, but still I don’t think I would buy it because the beauty of super detailing is that u do it yourself.

I painted the F-15E with a coat of the basic color (I use aluminum), and after that I applied the actual color of the F-15E the Revell *** Grey. Then I scraped the paint off the edges of the plane where there is a lot of wear. After that, I applied the decals using the Microscale set and the Microscale sol. The kit decals are very good

And for the last step I weathered the F-15 using the pastel chalk wash that I learned in the "Tools n Tips" section on this site (its my first weathering job).

The building of this model took me 4-5 months, but I think it was all worth it

I enjoyed building this kit very much and after all, that is the important thing right?
