Doras of the Galland
Circus
This is a model of
Red 13, a FW 190 D9 of JV 44 that was flown by Oblt. Klaus Faber in April 1944
at Ainring Airfield, Germany.

These colorful aircraft
served as a small unit in Adolf Galland's JV 44. Their sole function was
to protect the Me 262s during takeoff and landing. The red and white
stripes were chosen to help German flak gunners identify them.
The model was
finished with Model Master Paints and EagleCals #23-32 decals.
