1/32 Hasegawa P-47D

This is the excellent Hasegawa 1/32 P-47D kit.  I used the Quickboost Resin engine, which by the way is beautiful, Eduard prepainted belts, and Techmod decals.  Paint is a mix of Model Air and Tamiya acrylics.

Decals are Techmod.  I finished the plane in the very attractive marking of Mike Gladych's "Pengie IV".  I liked these markings as they were a bit unusual.  The Invasion stripes and the red rudder and cowling are a nice contrast to the greys in the camouflage.

The model was finished with Pro Modellers dark dirt wash and a coat of flat varnish.

I am very happy with the outcome of this model. It sat around part finished for a good few months gathering dust. It was one of those "I need to finish this one" moments that led to the model you see here.

Maybe a Razorback next!
