Here are some photos of my Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien that I built using the Tamiya kit in 1/48.

Not much to say apart from making obvious the already known quality of these Tamiya kits. Simply superb. No filling, slight sanding & perfect fit. Decals may be a bit thick but with Solva set they get alright. I was inspired a bit by looking into a documentary showing a restored sample put together at Kawasaki in Kobe. 

The detail within the cockpit is quite good. I believe there is no need of aftermarket items for this one, except for the engine compartment if it is to be detailed. Cheers!
