Presenting for your enjoyment the 1/72 scale F4U-1D Corsair by Tamiya. The only aftermarket parts in this project were Eduard photo-etched seatbelts. I omitted the underwing rocket stores as I was not pleased with their appearance. They seemed a bit "toylike" in comparison to the rest of this jewel-like kit.

Model Master acrylics were used, and a light wash of Titanium White artists' oil preceeded a wash of Burnt Umber oil paint. 

After sealing everything in with Flat Clear Acryl (MM), some panel lines were picked out with a silver pencil.
