MiG-29SE Peruvian Air Force, Anti AWACS mission

My special thanks to Mr. Yuri Vasin, for providing me with his excellent models.  Please check  www.hobbyterra.com

Before I remember have done some commentary about this new Ukrainian model, well now I'll extend my comments.  This kit is really good, and is the only representation of MiG-29 9-13, the surface detail is very good, although the missiles and cabin are the weak points of this model.

Someone requested images of the finished model, so here they are.

Modifications:

  • Addition of weight in nose.

  • Decaling of panel instruments.

  • Addition of HUD, made of clear plastic.

  • Addition of two air brake arms.

  • Change of missiles: two R-77 and two Kh-31P both from 1/72 MiG-29 SMT of Kondor models too; and two R-73 from 1/72 Berkut Su-30MK.

  • Addition of static dischargers.

Painting:
Shows Russian camouflage scheme, consisting of:

  • Five parts of USSR Fulcrum Gray/Green(2331) mixed with one part of Flat Black; Flat Gull Gray (FS 36440) and Gunship Gray(FS 36118) for radome.

Decals:

  • Southern Flying Tigers of Albatros Modelworks, and some few made locally.

This models depicts the MiG-29SE of air superiority, with antiradar mission, we called it "Cazador de cóndores"which means, Kondor hunter.

This fighting cock is capable of confronting and defeating any condor, hawk or daring cat.

All Peruvian fulcrums are based at Pedro Ruiz Gallo Air Base,in Chiclayo, in northern Peru.  Remember the following proverb  "Qui quarent invent".
