This is my latest
completion, a Hasegawa F-4J Phantom II. It was built out of the box except for
the homemade stand and the decals. Decals are from Aeromaster, and are very high
quality. I also used a F-4 Phantom stencil decal sheet for all the tiny
stencils. The stand was built with a pre-routed plaque from a craft store,
stained and gloss coated, and copper pipes.

The aircraft was painted with Tamiya
and model master acrylics. All clear coats were done with future. I used a
1:3 Tamiya Flat Base and Future for the final flat coat. Weathering was
done with a mixture of pencil for the panel lines, an enamel wash, and
pastels. Tamiya smoke was used on the exposed metal on the stabilizers and
on the exhaust cans. Armament came from the kit.
This one took a while to
complete! I spent a lot of time on the decals and weathering but I think
the effect was worth it.
Enjoy!
