This my Spitfire MkIX from the
ICM kit modelled as Johnnie Johnson's mount. I added some Ultracast bits
(great quality stuff), seat, lower cowl, prop and spinner, pilots door, exhaust
stacks and elevators. I thought the kit went together very well and would
buy another one but would build OOB as the kit stuff is reasonable. I
added some extra framing around engine and some bits of wire to 'busy' up the
engine bay. The copper 'pipes' are the middle of coaxial antenna cable.

It was painted in
Humbrol enamels, kit decals except the upper roundels which were supplied by
Kevin Smythers as one was damaged. Oil wash with umber/black and sealed
with Humbrol flat varnish.
