First of all, I planned to make my first Zero in 1/48 so I thought "Is it a good idea to warm up first with 1/72?".S  o I decided to buy this Academy kit due to its reasonable price.  My best friend "Tojo" (his nickname), the one who loves everything about Japanese and German WW2 models (I think).  So I asked him about every detail to save myself time.

For color, I used Mr.Color.

  •  -"Mitsubishi IJN Dark Green"No.124 for Upper part and "Mitsubishi IJN Grey"No.35 for Lower part.

  •  -"Mitsubishi IJN Cockpit Green"No.126 for cockpit.

  •  -"Mitsubishi IJN Metalic Blue Green"No.57 for gear bay.

  •  -"Flat Black"No.33 for Cowling

  •  -"Propeller" No.131 for propeller.

I sprayed it out of the bottle and made it lighter by adding some more white and sprayed it again.

I made it out of the box with some added details.....pilot seat belts made with Aluminium sticker (The one that my wife use to fix her pot in the kitchen ^_^ ) and copper wire.  Drilling the hole of 4 machine guns.

About details of the Academy decals (for this kit) is not good but I used it, T_T.  I trimmed the decal rim with scissor and I had to add a lot of Mask Setter and Mask Softer.

The very funny time for me is making the paint chips with "Silver" No.8 added to some more grey to make it not so shiny.  I painted it with a very small brush while opening the model book.^_^.

For the antenna wire I used stretched sprue from another kit with black plastic from  (Saving my time for painting) put it over the lighter to make it soft and pulled it after to make the wire, That's all.

Hope you like it.
