The model represents
a plane from 494th Fighter Squadron "Panthers", 48th Fighter Wing, RAF
Lakenheth, England. NATO Tigermeet 1998. Nice prototype, nice kit. Assembled out of
box without any aftermarket items.

There were no special
problems during assembly, although I did encountered some mold release pin
marks, but these were filled by me. It, already become traditional, thick edges of
a wing and the stabilizers, crudely made aerials and gauges and some more
trivial issues. I modified exhausts to match the prototype.
The finished model is in full
conformity to the prototype for the period of the airshow and the ADU-552 adapters and
LAU-128/A rail launchers have been independently made for SUU-59/A wing station
pylon. Now I can use a AIM-120 AMRAAM rockets. Also six bombs Mk.82 LDGP have
been made. Fuel tanks were made removable. The crew ladder is removable also. The canopy
can be fixed in two positions. Both pilots and AIM-120 are from other kits.
